Unity Global Ventures Policies
We strive to provide our clients with superior service and a full understanding of all policies for the use of our service. We have outlined below our major policies which are subject to change as required. This list does not constitute all policies which are fully outlined in the car hire agreement that must be signed prior to the approval of service.
Standard Hours of Operation and After Service Hours
Our standard hours of operation start at 8:00am and end at 8:00pm West African Time (WAT). Our after service hours start at 8:01pm and end at 11:00pm. After service hours require additional fees (N1,500 or $10 per hour), which are charged hourly. We do NOT provide service after 11:00pm for safety reasons. We are certain that you will understand and appreciate our effort in ensuring your safety, as the streets in most Nigerian states are not considered safe to move about during late night hours. We encourage you to minimize late night outings during your stay in Lagos and surrounding areas.
Airport pick-up and drop-off are exempted from the no service after 11:00pm rule. We understand that there are various arrival and departure times when traveling internationally. We will be there to pick you up or drop you off no matter what time your flight is scheduled to land at or depart from Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos Nigeria.
A Signed Car Hire Agreement
You are required to sign and either fax or email (agreement statement) back a Car Hire Agreement within 2 calendar days of receipt in order for your reservation to be fully approved (unless otherwise noted in the agreement). With our flexible payment options, we must confirm the validity of each reservation prior to providing full approval for your dates. Your reservation is not considered to be confirmed until we receive the signed car hire agreement within 2 calendar days of your receipt. If you sign and return the car hire agreement after 2 calendar days, we cannot guarantee that your dates of service will still be available and you should call to confirm.
Car Hire Fees and Payment Terms
Daily Car Hire Service Fee: Our car rental daily car hire service fee start at N10,000 or $75 per day. This fee applies to all of our luxury SUV-Jeep vehicles. We also offer after service hours service from 8:01 pm through 11:00 pm at N1,500 or $10 an hour. If you require travel to certain surrounding western states, our out of town fee is N5,000 or $35 per hour. We offer our clients the opportunity to pay in various forms depending if you will be paying in US dollars or Naira. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal.
After Hours Service and Fees: After hours service begins at 8:01pm through 11:00pm. The hourly after service hours fee (N1,500 per hour) will be charged for a full or any fraction of an hour for continued service starting at 8:01pm through 11:00pm. This hourly fee applies to service in Lagos and when service is being provided out of town at one of our authorized locations. We do NOT provide service after 11:00pm (in town or out of town).
Out of Town Service Fees: We provide out of town service primarily to Abeokuta, Ogun State, Ibadan and the Ife area; and only when prior approval by Unity Global Ventures has been received.
Unity Global Ventures MUST approve travel to any other state, city or town other than what is explicitly listed in this agreement.
- Terms for the N5,000 Daily Out of Town Fee: The N5,000 per day out of town service fee will apply for each day the client provides accommodations for the chauffeur when car hire service is provided out of town.
- Terms for the N10,000 Daily Out of Town Fee: The N10,000 per day out of town service fee will apply for each day the client does NOT provide accommodations for the chauffeur when car hire service is provided out of town.
Payment Terms: Clients must make payment either prior to, or immediately upon pick-up by your chauffeur on your first day of service. We do understand that many of our clients are arriving from locations all across the world. Therefore, if the client requires transport to a banking location to retrieve funds, the chauffeur can provide service to the banking location BUT payment must occur before any additional transportation can occur. The Unity Global Ventures bank account information will be provided for client’s that would like to pay for service fees into our business account prior to the start of service. If the client would like to pay service fees into our Nigerian bank account, please contact our main office at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at +1.877.810.1221 (main) or +234.8091895630 or +234.8102356779 to obtain our account information.
Client’s can also pay in US dollars via credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express by visiting our Make a Payment page. We will validate your payment with the service dates and any additional fees on the client’s car hire agreement.
There are no exceptions to this policy and if payment is NOT received immediately upon pick-up, our drivers have been instructed to not start service.
Please Note: Our payment policy is stringent due to our flexibility in not requiring a monetary deposit when reservations are made and to lessen our risk of not being paid for service.
Adding Additional Days of Service
Should you require additional days to be added to your car rental during your stay, you will be required to pay for all additional days immediately to the chauffeur.
Canceling Your Service
We ask that all cancellations must be submitted in writing at email@example.com at least 3 days (unless otherwise denoted in the car hire agreement) prior to your expected pick-up day in Lagos. Should your plans change after arriving in Lagos and you no longer require to use our car rental car hire service for the full number of days and you paid in advance, we will refund you the balance for days not used.
Fuel/Gas/Petrol Terms (For non-fuel inclusive service)
The Client is fully responsible for all fuel/gas/petrol charges/fees throughout the duration of using our car hire service. The Client should take note of the starting fuel gauge immediately upon pick-up so that the Client knows exactly where the fuel gauge should return upon the completion of service. Throughout the car hire period, the fuel gauge of the vehicle MUST NEVER fall below the range of a quarter (1/4) tank to avoid costly damages to the vehicle. The Client MUST return the vehicle with the same level of fuel in the vehicle when the service began.
For example, you arrive in Lagos and the gas gauge is at 1/2 tank when your service starts, you fill the tank to completely full because your service is for 3 days. On the last day of your service, the gauge in the car is at 1/4 tank, which is less than where the fuel gauge was when your service started. You must put in enough fuel prior to your departure to return the fuel gauge to 1/2 tank.
Other fluids such as engine oil, brake oil, etc. shall be the sole responsibility of Unity Global Ventures. Refunds for over purchasing of fuel/gas will NOT be provided.
Additional Vehicle Usage Terms
The Client shall NOT:
- Smoke in the vehicle or allow any person accompanying the Client to smoke in the vehicle;
- Sublet or hire the vehicle to any other person;
- Employ the services of any chauffeur from Unity Global Ventures outside the terms of this contract without explicit notification and approval from the management of Unity Global Ventures;
- Permit the vehicle to be operated outside the client’s authority;
- Operate the vehicle or permit it to be operated in circumstances that constitute an offence by the driver which relates to driving or attempting to drive with excess breath or blood alcohol or under the influence of drink or drug;
- Operate the vehicle or permit it to be operated in any race, speed test, rally, or contest;
- Operate the vehicle or permit it to be operated to propel or tow any other vehicle;
Safety Precautions and Measures
Unity Global Ventures Luxury car rental car hire service in Lagos, Nigeria chauffeurs come highly recommended and we perform security checks to ensure safety and peace of mind for our clients and Unity Global Ventures. Our vehicles undergo routine maintenance to ensure the highest quality standards as we strive to make your journey pleasant and safe.
The client is NOT responsible for fixing any issues that might occur with the vehicle during the time period in which you use our car rental car hire service. This includes accidents that might occur.
